About Us
Located centrally in Louisville, Georgia, the Guest House on Academy was started by Greg and Karen Yonchak, longtime residents of Louisville. With backgrounds in event planning, catering and business, it was a great fit when they merged their talents to open their first Guest House. Welcoming visitors and business guests has been an enjoyable experience for them. They continue to provide personal touches to each visit so that guests will know that they are welcomed. In 2017, a second home that is located across the street was opened to provide additional accommodations. A larger dining room was designed to seat 10. Having two homes across the street from each other enables larger groups to be close by but still have individual privacy. Each house has individual charm and decorated with work from local craftsmen. The convenience and comfort of each home sets the right tone for any visit. Can we schedule your next visit?

Guest House 1 was formerly owned by D.R. and Lenora McMillan. Lenora was native of Jefferson County, loved to entertain, and was a descendent of 18 century Georgia Governor Herschel Johnson. She frequently hosted guests for ladies’ luncheons and bridge club parties. Guest House 2 was formerly owned by G.T. and Emma Daniel. G.T. was the street expert on just about everything and Emma…well if you knew Emma, you would immediately smile. She was a gracious lady whose laughter and genuine love for all was enjoyed by all who met her. She would be the first to open the door and welcome you to her house! Area residents will quickly tell you that Academy Drive is the best street in town. Come enjoy what we live each day!
